WWE Booked For UFC APEX On June 9

UFC CEO Dana White has no plans to convert UFC fans to WWE fans, according to these remarks made after both entities merged under the TKO banner back in late 2023. White also wanted MMA purists to know “there really won’t be any type of crossover” in 2024.

WWE will stage its upcoming NXT Battleground event at UFC’s APEX facility in Las Vegas on Sat., June 9, 2024. APEX is home to UFC “Fight Night” cards and select “Power Slap” events. Ticket information for NXT Battleground is expected to be released in the coming days.

“We are always exploring new frontiers to showcase NXT and we are excited to bring Battleground to this world-class event and production facility in partnership with UFC,” said WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels.

NXT, which airs every Tuesday on Peacock, is sort of like the amateur league of WWE, where fans can catch a glimpse of the next generation of pro wrestling superstars. Graduates include Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair, among others.
