Francis Ngannou mourns the death of his 18-month old son

Unfortunate news has come to light regarding the death of Francis Ngannou‘s 18-month old son.

Ngannou is one of the most ‘must-watch’ fighters in combat sports and always manages to produce entertaining fights. Despite losing in his last outing, ‘The Predator’ proved the world wrong by achieving both financial and career heights since leaving the UFC.

As announced by 237Online, tragic news struck Francis Ngannou and those close to him when they heard of his son’s death. Francis Ngannou took to social media to share his immediate feelings at what will undoubtedly be a difficult time for the heavyweight star.

“What’s the purpose of life if what we’re fighting tooth and nail to get away from is what finally hit us the hardest!?” Ngannou preached on social media. “Why is life so unfair and merciless?”

“Why does life always take what we don’t have? I’m f***ing tired.”

Support poured in for Francis Ngannou and fans gathered to send their prayers to his family at such a devastating time. Among those sharing love to Ngannou were some notable names from the MMA world.

Leading the way was Conor McGregor.

Long-term coach of Ngannou, Eric Nicksick, sent his love to the Cameroon native with a heart-warming post.

“It’s been a heavy few days, words can’t express the pain we all feel for the Ngannou family during this time.”

“Please keep Francis and his family in your heart, and may this be a reminder of the fragility of life. Say “I love you,” more often, tomorrow isn’t guaranteed.”

Following his two-fight stint in boxing, all eyes were on Francis Ngannou’s next move. Many expected him to make his long-awaited debut with the PFL, though a clash with Deontay Wilder still remains a possibility.

While he has several options for his combat sports return, Ngannou may deservedly prolong his hiatus after going through something so emotional.
