Jon Jones steadfast in Stipe Miocic fight over unifying UFC titles: ‘I’m in the middle of a pretty clear decision’

For UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones the decision is easy.

It’s either fight former titleholder Stipe Miocic or interim champ Tom Aspinall, and Jones (27-1 MMA, 21-1 UFC) remains steadfast the former is the way to go for his next fight.

In a series of posts Thursday on X, Jones laid out an explanation as to why he is a staunch supporter of potential fights against Miocic and UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira, as opposed to British heavyweight Aspinall, who holds the interim title.

Jones’ main points revolved around the recognition and attention fighting more well-known names would bring. He responded to numerous commenters and took shots at Daniel Cormier, Jan Blachowicz, and even the United Kingdom as a whole. Some of those responses were tweeted-and-deleted in signature Jon Jones fashion.
