UFC 302 medical suspensions: Dustin Poirier out indefinitely for two potential injuries

Ten fighters have been suspended indefinitely for injuries sustained Saturday at UFC 302.

The event, which took place at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., featured two five-round fights: Islam Makhachev vs. Dustin Poirier and Sean Strickland vs. Paulo Costa. Of those four fighters, Makhachev was the only one to not be suspended indefinitely, instead handed a 30-day term for facial lacerations.

Poirier, Strickland, and Costa were all suspended indefinitely pending medical clearance for leg injuries. Poirier also received an additional indefinite suspension for a nose injury.

On Tuesday, MMA Junkie acquired a full list of medical suspensions from the New Jersey State Athletic Control Board (NJSACB). Check out that full list below. It’s important to note fighters can return prior to the conclusion of the full term if they are cleared by a doctor (unless noted otherwise).
