Forget Retirement! Dustin Poirier Wants ‘Uno Mas!’

The vibes at International Fight Week must have been good because they had Dustin Poirier suggesting he has one more fight in him.

Dustin Poirier is teasing one more fight before he retires.

The UFC legend was seriously contemplating hanging up the gloves after a fifth round submission loss to lightweight champion Islam Makhachev. While “Diamond” didn’t get the win, he fought well against the No. 1 ranked pound for pound fighter in the world. That left a lot of fans feeling like he still had gas in the tank.

And apparently Poirier agrees with that assessment because after spending International Fight Week and UFC 303 in Vegas, he has declared he wants to fight again.

“Uno mas,” Poirier declared on X (formerly Twitter) before calling out multiple potential opponents.

“If Arman [Tsarukyan] can’t fight let’s go again, Islam Makhachev,” he wrote. “Hey Conor McGregor, it felt so nice, I did it twice ya bumskie.”

McGregor has been hurling more vile attacks on Poirier’s wife over social media, and it sounds like Dustin is interested in punishing the Irish sports star for his words.

“I’m cool I don’t need the cash I just want the blood,” he said of a McGregor fight. “You throw shots there’s always a return fire on my end. Gratata … They should’ve never give the kid wifi.. Destruction and destroy. Uno mas”

He finished his tweet rampage with “The Last Dance. Let em know.”

Is Poirier serious, or was Dustin just fooling around to kill time on a red-eye flight (perhaps one with a liberal free drinks policy)?

Whatever the case, don’t expect “The Diamond” back in the cage for a ‘last dance’ too soon. He partially tore his ACL during the war with Makhachev on June 5th, so it would be a miracle if he was healed up enough to fight before the end of the year.

But good things come to those who wait, and we’d love to see Poirier finish out his career on a win. And if Dustin doesn’t want that negative energy in his life … well, the Justin Gaethje trilogy fight is right there too.
