Brandon Vera’s career after the UFC has featured with several stoppage victories and a championship.
Vera left the UFC in 2014 and joined ONE Championship that same year. Vera (16-8) won his promotional debut, stopping Igor Subora with a TKO in late 2014, and the following year was crowned the first heavyweight titleholder in ONE ‘s history after putting away Paul Cheng in just 26 seconds.
Since then, Vera has defended his title twice with both wins coming by first-round stoppage. His only setback in the promotion was a champion vs. champion fight against Aung La N Sang in October 2019. The 43-year-old was attempting to become a two-division champion.
Now, more than a year later, Vera returns to action to defend his heavyweight belt for a third time against former UFC heavyweight Arjan Bhullar in the main event of ONE Championship: Dangal on May 15 in Singapore.
