UFC on ESPN 6 weigh-in results: Two fighters heavy, but not the headliners

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – MMA Junkie was on scene for Thursday’s early and official UFC on ESPN 6 fighter weigh-ins.

The early weigh-ins took place at the UFC host hotel and preceded the ceremonial weigh-ins for the fans, which take place at 5 p.m. ET at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston. TD Garden in Boston hosts Friday’s event, which airs on ESPN2.

Among those weighing in were former middleweight champion Chris Weidman (14-4 MMA, 10-4 UFC), who moves up to light heavyweight for the first time to take on unbeaten Dominick Reyes (11-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC) in the headliner. In the co-feature, Yair Rodriguez (12-2 MMA, 7-1 UFC) and Jeremy Stephens (28-16 MMA, 15-15 UFC) run their featherweight fight back after a 15-second no contest in the UFC Mexico headliner in September.

Although there were a couple of misses on the scale, all four fighters in the main and co-main events hit their marks.
