UFC on ESPN+ 21 draws announced 11,305 attendance for sell-out in Moscow

The UFC’s third trip to Russia provided the promotion with an announced sell-out of 11,305 fans.

UFC officials announced the figures following the event. UFC on ESPN+ 21 took place Saturday at CSKA Arena in Moscow. The entire card streamed on ESPN+.

As is typical with the UFC’s Russian events, a gate total was not announced.

In the night’s main event, Russian featherweight Zabit Magomedsharipov (18-1 MMA, 6-0 UFC) was able to outpoint a gritty Calvin Kattar (20-4 MMA, 4-2 UFC) over the course of a three-round affair, scheduled as such due to its late promotion to the headlining slot.

While it was a great way for the Russian fans to end the night, it was a difficult evening overall for the home fans, who saw their countrymen go 5-8 on the card.

The all-time list of attendance for UFC events in Russia includes:

  • 22,603 – “UFC Fight Night 136: Hunt vs. Oleinik (Moscow, September 2018)
  • 11,305 – “UFC on ESPN+ 21: Magomedsharipov vs. Kattar” (Moscow, November 2019)
  • 7,236 – “UFC on ESPN+ 7: Overeem vs. Oleinik (St. Petersburg, April 2019)
