Midnight Mania! Betting Odds Release For Ngannou Vs. Rozenstruik

Bringing you the weird and wild from the world of MMA each and every weeknight!

Welcome to Midnight Mania!

Following his monstrous fifth-round knockout win over Alistair Overeem, new Heavyweight contender Jairzinho Rozenstruik immediately named his next target: Francis Ngannou. That’s not a callout many men are making right now, as Ngannou is riding a three-fight win streak made up entirely of seemingly effortless knockout.

Frustrated by sitting on the sidelines and likely tired of chasing Alexander Volkov around, Ngannou immediately agreed to face the dangerous kickboxer. The match up was quickly booked as the main event of UFC Fight Night 172 on March 28th in Columbus, Ohio.

Today, the betting odds released for the match up per BettingInsideJournal. Ngannou opened up as a -275 favorite, and the return on Rozenstruik is set at +215. The numbers seem reasonable: Ngannou is on a real tear right now and has more top-level MMA experience, but Rosenstruik’s kickboxing skill gives him a shot against just about anyone.

Insomnia

I have sympathy for those alone during the holidays, but also, Derrick Lewis is hilarious.

An update on Badr Hari’s injury he suffered while wheel kicking Rico Verhoeven:

Where does one sign up for these sword-and-shield armored MMA fights? Are there weight classes? I want in.

It’s always interesting to see an artist’s process.

Given his young daughter, does this qualify as a dad joke now?

Never forget Faberkini. Patent pending!

Just another clip of Michael Chandler being stupidly athletic ahead of his NYE showdown with Sidney Outlaw in Japan.

I’ve never seen anyone where a body shield in sparring before!

Slips, rips, and KO clips

Throwing a body kick when your opponent is trapped along the fence is a great idea! Taking three lead up steps with your hands down … not so much.

I can’t tell if both men are exhausted or wobbled at the start of this clip, or if it was just a super weird fight.

Alex Pereira’s knockout this weekend at Glory was absolutely bonkers — one of the best body cross-left hook combos I’ve seen.

Random Land

Slightly terrifying.

Sleep well Maniacs! More martial arts madness is always on the way.
