Noah K. Murray-USA TODAY Sports

Get a detailed breakdown of the betting lines for UFC 246, which is set to hit T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, this weekend (Sat., Jan. 18, 2020), including best bets, underdogs, favorites and much more!

The biggest name in mixed martial arts (MMA) returns to the Octagon this Saturday evening (Jan. 18, 2020) when Conor McGregor squares off with Donald Cerrone in the ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV) main event of UFC 246, which takes place inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. UFC 246 will also feature a women’s Bantamweight clash between Holly Holm and Raquel Pennington, as well as Maurice Greene vs. Aleksei Oleinik at Heavyweight and a major Strawweight tussle that pits Alexa Grasso against Claudia Gadelha.

Your finances may be stretched thin after some eventful holidays, but read on to see how to refill your coffers in 2020.

What Went Wrong at UFC: ‘Busan?’

If Said Nurmagomedov hadn’t gone for a spinning back kick in the third round of his fight with Raoni Barcelos, we would’ve ended the year on a perfect event. As is, we still did pretty damn well thanks to the underdog efforts of Alateng Heili, Da Un Jung and Jun Yong Park. Nicely done, lads.

UFC 246 Odds For The Undercard:

Maycee Barber (-900) vs. Roxanne Modafferi (+600)
Sodiq Yusuff (-135) vs. Andre Fili (+115)
Nasrat Haqparast (-330) vs. Drew Dober (+270)
Aleksa Camur (-120) vs. Justin Ledet (EVEN)
Askar Askarov (-140) vs. Tim Elliott (+120)
Ode Osbourne (-140) vs. Brian Kelleher (+120)
J.J. Aldrich (-115) vs. Sabina Mazo (-105)

Thoughts: The matchmaking on display is top-notch, which has the unfortunate side effect of making my job difficult. Five of these are coin flips and one of the others is accurately lopsided. I suppose you could put a bit on Nasrat Haqparast — he looks to have Drew Dober out-gunned on the feet. Honestly, though, I’d leave the undercard alone.

UFC 246 Odds For The Main Card:

Conor McGregor (-335) vs. Donald Cerrone (+275)
Holly Holm (-140) vs. Raquel Pennington (+120)
Maurice Greene (-135) vs. Aleksei Oleinik (+115)
Alexa Grasso (-110) vs. Claudia Gadelha (-110)
Diego Ferreira (-230) vs. Anthony Pettis (+190)

Thoughts: Holly Holm strikes me as the best bargain on a card sorely lacking in them. Sure, she’s 2-5 in her last seven, but every single woman she lost to was a top-notch fighter. She’s still a top-notch striker with quality takedown defense, which should work just as well on Pennington as it did when they first met back in 2015. “Rocky” is too straightforward to win this on the feet and will struggle to get her takedowns going.

In other words, expect Holm to win a comfortable decision.

Diego Ferreira looks investment-worthy as well. He presents the same blend of brutal pressure striking and top-shelf grappling that’s plagued Pettis for years on end, and the fact that Ferreira stood up to the concrete fists of Mairbek Taisumov suggests that “Showtime” isn’t getting out of this mess with a one-shot knockout out of nowhere.

UFC 246 Best Bets:

  • Parlay — Holly Holm and Diego Ferreira: Bet $40 to make $58.40
