Mac’s Whiskey Business Just Made A Proper $1 Million Donation

Last year, former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champ-champ, Conor McGregor, revealed that a part of the profits form his lucrative Proper No. 12 whiskey business was set to be donated to first responders around the world.

Now, the first round of donations to the tune of $1 million is on its way to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation in New York, which will help pay off mortgages for families of law enforcement and firefighters who were killed while on duty.

Per the press release provided by The Mac Life:

The company is proud to announce it has selected the New York-headquartered Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation to receive this $1 million donation for the United States. The donation will go towards paying off the mortgages for families of law enforcement officers and firefighters across the country, who were killed in the line of duty and left behind young children. Tunnel to Towers has a score of 100 for Accountability & Transparency on Charity Navigator. Additional donations will be announced in March and April for first responder organizations in Ireland, Canada, the UK, Australia, Russia, Poland and South Africa.

Furthermore, McGregor released a couple of public service announcements encouraging people to donate $11 to the foundation to further help his cause.

“Notorious” made a successful return to action after an extended hiatus this past January after knocking out Donald Cerrone in just under a minute at UFC 246 in Las Vegas, Nevada (see it again here).

For the time being, McGregor is playing the waiting game before deciding his next move, as he will be an interested observer when Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson collide at UFC 249 on April 18. If that title fight doesn’t pan out for him, he does have Justin Gaethje waiting in the wings.
