Joanna Jedrzejczyk willing to rematch Zhang Weili, but has surgery scheduled first

Despite her face being somewhat deformed because of a hematoma suffered in her UFC 248 co-main event bout with Zhang Weili, former UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk said recently that she is feeling good and is more than willing to rematch the current champion.

Jedrzejczyk and Zhang fought an incredible five-round war that stole the show at UFC 248, but left both athletes bloodied, bruised, and swollen. Jedrzejczyk looked the worse of the two, primarily because of a massive hematoma that spanned her forehead.

A few days later, she said that while she is still black and blue, the swelling from her forehead has begun to move down across her face and should soon dissipate completely.

Jedrzejczyk did, however, mention that she has a minor surgery on her ear scheduled for next week in her home country of Poland. Barring that, she is feeling great and would gladly accept an immediate rematch.

“I scheduled surgery in Poland with the plastic surgeon, so on Monday I will have a small procedure on my ear and the swelling will go down, and I will be ready to rock and roll.”
