With the recent announcement that Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is gearing up to make up lost time by staging three events in the span of eight days, the fight announcements are starting to pour in.

According to MMA Junkie, a Middleweight bout between Eryk Anders vs. Krzysztof Jotko — which was originally set to go down at UFC Fight Night 172 on April 11 — is in the process of being rebooked for a scheduled event on Sat., May 16 inside VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida.

Winner of two straight, Anders is in search of his longest win streak under the UFC banner after previously scoring wins over Vinicius Moreira and Gerald Meerschaert. Jotko, meanwhile, has also won two in a row, and hasn’t stepped foot inside the cage in over nine months. The winner of this hard-hitting bout will make huge strides in the staked 185-pound weight class.

Also, Kevin Holland will face Anthony Hernandez in Middleweight action. Hollands looks to get back into the winners circle after having his three-fight win streak snapped by Brendan Allen last October. Hernandez, meanwhile, is in search of his second straight win inside the Octagon after earning his first win under the UFC banner against Jun Yong Park last August.

The May 16 event is set to be headlined by a pivotal Heavyweight bout between Alistair Overeem and Walt Harris. The promotion will look to make it’s comeback on Sat., May 9 with UFC 249, and will follow it up with another event on Wed., May 13, both in Jacksonville, as well.
