Tyson Training With ‘King’ Belfort For Boxing Return

Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson is gearing up for a return to the “sweet science” at some point in 2020, unless he can be lured away by the $20 million offer from Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.

Either way, “Iron” Mike will need to be in fighting shape, and recently he’s been working out with former UFC champion Vitor Belfort. “The Phenom” is making a comeback of his own thanks to a lucrative new contract with ONE Championship.

“The youngest boxing champion with the youngest UFC MMA champion, Mike Tyson and Vitor Belfort,” the Brazilian wrote on Instagram. “Mike was my motivation to becoming the KING and record holder of most KO’s in UFC history since 1993.”

Belfort, 43, who retired from UFC back in 2018, has been talking about throwing hands with another aging pugilist in the form of Roy Jones Jr., but the coronavirus pandemic has put those plans on hold for the foreseeable future.

As for Tyson, 53, no word yet on when or where he’ll fight but I’m sure it’s more than just a coincidence that Evander Holyfield is also coming out of retirement. Let’s just hope no one gets hurt because it feels weird to be happy that a bunch of old people are going to beat the shit out of each other.
