UFC 250 reactions: Winning and losing fighters on social media
Since the early days when the sport was anything but a mainstream endeavor, the MMA industry has thrived and survived through various websites, forums, and, perhaps most importantly, social-media platforms.
Fighters interact with fans, each other, and many more through the likes of Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, which helps outsiders get a deeper look into the minds of the athletes.
Following Saturday’s UFC 250 event in Las Vegas, several of the winning and losing fighters, along with their coaches, training partners, or family members, took to social media to react to the event or share a message with supporters.
Fought a veteran with more UFC fights than I have years of being alive, and I went the distance with him. It was a tough fight, and he had a solid game plan and good defense. Now it’s time to suck it up, get back to the gym, work on the stand up move on to the next one
To all of the s telling me how much money I cost you:
I care as little about your financial situation as you do about my health and well being. I’m the one who has to fight my ass off and then limp to the airport the next day. I don’t owe you shit
We both love this sport and the respect is always going to be there. What an honor to share the cage with you. @feenom479 Amamos esse esporte!!!!! pic.twitter.com/My87Wog0cE
The Blue Corner is MMA Junkie’s blog space. We don’t take it overly serious, and neither should you. If you come complaining to us that something you read here is not hard-hitting news, expect to have the previous sentence repeated in ALL CAPS.
