UFC on ESPN 10 weigh-in results: Three miss marks, including headliner; one fighter withdraws

LAS VEGAS – MMA Junkie was on scene and reporting live from Friday’s early and official UFC on ESPN 10 fighter weigh-ins, where several fighterss missed their marks for Saturday’s event.

In the main event, recent women’s flyweight title challenger Jessica Eye (15-7 MMA, 5-6 UFC) takes on fellow contender Cynthia Calvillo (8-1-1 MMA, 5-1-1 UFC). Eye was 126.25 pounds, just a quarter-pound over the non-title limit. It was the second straight fight she has missed weight after challenging for the title a year ago. Calvillo came in at 126 pounds.

In the co-feature, Karl Roberson (9-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC) was 190.5 pounds for his middleweight bout against Marvin Vettori (14-3-1 MMA, 4-2-1 UFC), who was on weight at 186. There is bad blood already between the two since they were supposed to fight in May in Florida, but weight-cutting issues for Roberson forced him out of the bout even though he made weight successfully that time.

Zarrukh Adashev (3-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) weighed in at 138.5 pounds for his bantamweight bout against Tyson Nam (18-11-1 MMA, 0-2 UFC), who hit his mark at 135.5.

Additionally, Darrick Minner (24-11 MMA, 0-1 UFC) announced on social media during the weigh-ins that he pulled out of his featherweight fight against Jordan Griffin (18-7 MMA, 1-2 UFC) due to illness. Minner never came to the scale. Griffin was the second fighter to weigh in and was 146 pounds.

The early weigh-ins took place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The same venue hosts Saturday’s card, which airs on ESPN and streams on ESPN+.
