The UFC is back Saturday with another event on its home turf.
UFC on ESPN 11 takes place Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The card airs on ESPN and streams on ESPN+.
(Click here to open a PDF of the staff picks grid in a separate window.)
In the main event, Curtis Blaydes (13-2 MMA, 8-2 UFC) takes on Alexander Volkov (31-7 MMA, 5-1 UFC) in a heayvweight bout. The oddsmakers have made Blaydes the biggest favorite on the card at more than 3-1. And all 14 of our editors, writers, videographers and radio hosts are siding with him, as well.
In the co-main event, Shane Burgos (13-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) is a slight favorite against Josh Emmett (15-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC) in their featherweight bout. However, Burgos is fancied much more strongly by our team, with 11 of the 14 panelists picking him to win, with three siding with the hard-hitting Emmett.
Also on the main card, Raquel Pennington (10-8 MMA, 7-5 UFC) is a mild favorite against Marion Reneau (10-5-1 MMA, 5-4-1 UFC). The close odds were reflected in our staff picks, too, with Pennington just edging the panel with eight votes to Reneau’s six.
Belal Muhammad (16-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC) is a slight favorite over Lyman Good (21-5 MMA, 3-2 UFC) in their welterweight bout. But he’s the second-most-favored fighter on the card in our staff picks, with 12 of our 14 panelists picking him to defeat Good, who polled two votes from our team.
And to open the main card, Roosevelt Roberts (10-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) is the second-biggest favorite on the card against Jim Miller (31-14 MMA, 20-13 UFC). However, Miller’s top-level experience has made the matchup a much closer proposition in our staff picks, with the panel split right down the middle. Seven have picked Miller, while seven have sided with Roberts. Interestingly, Roberts is the biggest favorite on the card with our readers.
In the MMA Junkie reader consensus picks, Blaydes (71 percent), Burgos (52 percent), Pennington (69 percent), Muhammad (65 percent) and Roberts (72 percent) are the choices.
