What, he couldn’t get a three piece with a soda in Rome?

In all seriousness, Masvidal, as you probably know, accepted the welterweight title fight without a proper training camp on just six days’ notice. You don’t think he’s actually chowing down on Roman pizza when he’s got 22 pounds to lose by Friday, do you?

The appearance that Masvidal isn’t taking this opportunity seriously is an example of some great mind games being played. He’s in a pressure situation, but it’s pretty clear that he’s cool as a cucumber heading into Saturday’s showdown on “Fight Island.”
