UFC 251 Embedded: Talk About A Close Call!

UFC 251 is set to pop off this Saturday night (July 11, 2020) in what will be the first “Fight Island” event for Ultimate Fighting Championship, as it locked down a section of Yas Island in Abu Dhabi for the month of July.

Headlining the event is Kamaru Usman defending his Welterweight title against Jorge Masvidal in a last-minute switch following Gilbert Burns’ positive COVID-19 test. In the co-headlining act, Max Holloway will look to exact some revenge on Alexander Volkanovski in hopes of getting his Featherweight strap back, while Jose Aldo and Petre Yan look to become the new face of the Bantamweight division.

Before all the major players punch each other in the face this weekend, take a look at all of the hustle fighters go through in the lead up to their bouts, especially during the always hectic fight week. Thanks to the ever-present cameras of “Embedded,” fight fans get unrivaled behind-the-scenes access.

And in the clip embedded above, we witness Masvidal and Usman narrowly miss running into each other as one man is getting on to an elevator while the other is getting off. It’s the closest of calls.
