The event takes place at Flash Forum at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. The card airs on ESPN and streams on ESPN+.

In the main event, Calvin Kattar (21-4 MMA, 5-2 UFC) takes on Dan Ige (14-2 MMA, 6-1 UFC) in a featherweight matchup. In the co-feature, Ryan Benoit (10-6 MMA, 3-4 UFC) meets former flyweight title challenger Tim Elliott (15-11-1 MMA, 4-9 UFC).

Current fight

Diana Belbita vs. Liana Jojua

Round 1 – A touch of gloves and we’re underway. Belbita cracks Jojua early. That was a nice combination to get things started. Again, Belbita connects. She’s looking good here in the opening seconds. Belbita ties up Jojua against the fence. Jojua spins Belbita around. Belbita returns the favor and spins Jojua around. Round and round they go. Jojua is pushing Belbita against the fence. Despite having her back against the cage, Belbita works some good offense with knees to the body. Belbita trips Jojua and the two land on the canvas. There wasn’t much of a fight to stop the takedown by Jojua. It makes me wonder if she wanted it here. It was almost like she pulled guard. It certainly looks like it Jojua is creeping her legs up. She’s shooting for an armbar. She might have this. She’s torquing it. Belbita is flexible though. Jojua sits up on Belbita and readjusts her armbar grip. She’s cranking on it. Belbita screams. That’s it. Verbal submission. That was slick.

Aaron Phillips vs. Jack Shore

Round 1 – Here we go. We’re back in action. Card No. 2 out of 4 on the UFC’s inaugural “Fight Island” stint. Anyway, the action is starting. Shore clinches right off the bat. The two fighters are against the fence with Shore leaning on Phillips. Shore tries to sneak to the back but Phillips reverses position. They separate. Phillips lands a pair of kicks. Sore shoots and gets Phillips down. Phillips wall-walks using the cage. Shore is leaning on Phillips back. Every time Phillips starts moving upward, Shore drags him back down. Shore fully has Phillips’ back now. Whack, whack, whack – Shore lands a series of punches. Shore loses Phillips back. Phillips finally gets to his feet – and eats a few knees from Shore for his trouble. Shore drags Phillips back down to the mat. The round ends. 10-9 Shore.

Round 2 – After a few striking exchanges on the feet, Shore shoots for a takedown – and he gets it. Shore is in Phillips’ guard. Shore slowly slides Phillips across the cage to the fence. Shore is landing nice ground-and-pound. The elbows are working. Phillips rolls to escape danger but gives up his back. Shore is working for a rear-naked choke. This looks deep. That’s it. There’s the tap. Shore is two-for-two in the UFC.
