White Squirms During Grisly Injury On ‘Contender Series’

As we discovered nearly 15 years ago, when Mauricio Rua tried to stop a Mark Coleman takedown with an outstretched arm at PRIDE 31 in Japan, it’s better to hold on and go for the ride than depend on a single limb to break your fall.

Unfortunately for Joe Pyfer, instincts took over during his Dustin Stoltzfus showdown on Dana White’s “Contender Series,” held last Tuesday night (Aug. 11, 2020) inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, resulting in a dislocated elbow.

White cringed at the grisly replay:

In more uplifting news, all five winners walked away with UFC contracts, including Stoltzfus. His victory over “Bodybagz” was his tenth straight and no doubt makes him a person of interest in the crowded middleweight division.
