You can check out any time you like (but you can never leave).

UFC President Dana White isn’t really an MMA promoter … but he did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

The Las Vegas fight boss told the combat sports media that UFC is now the proud owner of another 10 acres in “Sin City,” part of a local expansion that would add a promotion-owned hotel for both fighters and staff as the world continues to battle coronavirus.

A timeline for construction has yet to be revealed.

“I don’t even know if you guys know this, but fuck it, I’ll tell you anyway,” White told MMA Junkie. ”We just bought 10 acres over here, too. We’ve got another 10 acres now. We’re going to build our own hotel. We’ll be completely self-sufficient. It will be more designed for fighters. Just like the APEX was designed for fighting and putting on special events, this place would be designed exactly for what our needs are in a hotel.”

And to think White complained this was too expensive.

Without even seeing the blueprints I can tell you it beats the hell out of staying at Residence Inn or whatever shithole the fighters are currently stuck with. The Las Vegas compound also houses the UFC headquarters, UFC Performance Center, and UFC APEX facility where all of the non-”Fight Island” events are presently taking place.

I guess bantamweight contender Jose Aldo wasn’t kidding when he said this was a bad time to ask UFC for a raise.
