Tom Breese vs. Roman Kopylov added to UFC’s Oct. 3 lineup

A middleweight matchup is the latest addition to the UFC’s Oct. 3 lineup.

Tom Breese (11-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC) will face Roman Kopylov (8-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) at the event, which is expected to take place at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, UFC officials announced Friday.

Breese, who was once considered one of Europe’s hottest prospects, will look to return to form after dropping two of his past three. After notching a “Performance of the Night” finish over Daniel Kelly in his middleweight debut in 2018, injuries and personal issues kept Breese on the sidelines for almost two years. He returned in February, but was stopped in the first round by Brendan Allen at UFC on ESPN+ 27.

Former Fight Nights Global middleweight champ Kopylov suffered his first career blemish in his UFC debut last November, when he was submitted by Karl Roberson in Round 3.

The latest lineup for UFC’s Oct. 3 card includes:

  • Holly Holm vs. Irene Aldana
  • Germaine de Randamie vs. Julianna Pena
  • Andrei Arlovski vs. Tanner Boser
  • Jinh Yu Frey vs. Loma Lookboonmee
  • Yorgan De Castro vs. Carlos Felipe
  • Beneil Dariush vs. Charles Oliveira
  • Carlos Condit vs. Court McGee
  • Heili Alateng vs. Casey Kenney
  • Tom Breese vs. Roman Kopylov
