UFC on ESPN+ 34 features a pivotal clash in the promotion’s heavyweight division as long-tenured contender Alistair Overeem attempts to turn back the challenge of rising prospect Augusto Sakai in the night’s main event.

Overeem (46-18 MMA, 11-7 UFC) is bidding to make another run toward a heavyweight title shot as he looks to capture the big prize that has so far eluded him in his decorated MMA career.

Standing in his way will be Brazilian Sakai (15-1-1 MMA, 4-0 UFC), who has been perfect inside the octagon since earning his place on the UFC roster at Contender Series Brazil in 2018.
