(Can’t) Stop, Hammer Time

Ex-Bellator bruiser and former UFC “Contender Series” hopeful Jamelle “The Beast” Jones got back into the win column at CES 61 last Weds. night with a scintillating knockout victory over heavyweight warm body Tyler King, shutting the lights off at 4:57 of round one.

The fight probably would have ended a few seconds sooner but the stubby little ref took too long to waddle over, leaving the 40 year-old “Marauder” open to a trio of unprotected hammer fists. No question Jones could have pulled back after King collapsed, but his job is to keep firing away until told otherwise.

Here’s another angle:

Ouch.

Jones, 32, spent most of his career on the regional circuit, racking up wins for Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC) and King of the Cage (KOTC), among others. As for King, who now dropped his fifth in a row, he may be best known for getting iced in 12 seconds in the opening round of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 19 back in late 2013.
