‘The Ultimate Fighter’ winner Mike Trizano returns against Rafael Alves on Feb. 20

Mike Trizano is set to return after an almost two-year long layoff.

Trizano (8-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) will face Rafael Alves (19-9 MMA, 0-0 UFC) at UFC Fight Night on Feb. 20. The location for the event has yet to be announced.

A person with knowledge of the situation confirmed the booking to MMA Junkie after an initial report from MMA DNA. The person requested anonymity because the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.

Winner of Season 27 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” Trizano hasn’t competed since suffering his first career blemish to Grant Dawson in May 2019. Prior to that, he edged out Luis Pena at UFC Fight Night 139.

Alves, a former Titan FC lightweight champion, earned a UFC contract on “Dana White’s Contender Series” in August with a submission of Alejandro Flores. The Brazilian has won his past five in a row.

With the addition, the UFC Fight Night card for Feb. 20 includes:

  • Curtis Blaydes vs. Derrick Lewis
  • Chris Daukaus vs. Aleksei Oleinik
  • Darrick Minner vs. Charles Rosa
  • Jai Herbert vs. Drakkar Klose
