Miley Cyrus has one stipulation for Julian Marquez to be his Valentine after UFC 258

Julian Marquez shot his shot … and he may have just gotten it.

The UFC middleweight used his post-fight interview at Saturday’s UFC 258 event in Las Vegas to ask pop superstar Miley Cyrus to be his Valentine following his third-round submission win over Maki Pitolo.

“I’ve been (waiting) 31 months to get on this damn mic and to call these people out right now,” Marquez told Joe Rogan. “This is my time to shine. So Miley Cyrus, will you be my Valentine?”

Sunday, Marquez (8-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) got a response from Cyrus, and the answer looks promising for the “Cuban Missile Crisis.”

“Shave an MC into your chest hair and I am YOURS (heart emoji),” Cyrus wrote on Twitter. “Happy VDay and Congrats my love!”

On top of the reply, Marquez also got a follow on Twitter from Cyrus.

Marquez walked out to Cyrus’ cover of “Heart of Glass” by Blondie for his win over Pitolo. Earlier this month, Marquez tweeted his excitement that he was finally able to walk out to the song – reportedly after fans helped push Cyrus to put the song on streaming platforms.

Marquez’s win on Saturday was his first bout since July 2018. Marquez was coming off an injury that kept him on the sidelines for many months. Safe to say, his return to the UFC is as successful as they come.
