Ali Isaev, Hatef Moeil ruled out at 2021 PFL 3; finalized lineup sees eight fights air on ESPN

Both Ali Isaev and Hatef Moeil have been ruled out of this week’s 2021 PFL 3 event.

PFL officials today announced the withdrawal of both athletes, who were scheduled to face each other, and told MMA Junkie they hope to reschedule the heavyweight contest for June.

With Isaev (9-0) and Moeil (10-4) out, a heavyweight matchup of Brandon Sayles(5-1) vs. Mohammed Usman (7-1) has been promoted to Thursday night’s four-fight main card, which airs live on ESPN.

The first two events of PFL’s 2021 season aired on ESPN2.

Additionally, PFL officials announced four preliminary fights will simultaneously air on ESPN and stream on ESPN+.

One fight will stream exclusively on ESPN+.

Featuring the promotional debut of former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum (24-9-1), as well as the return of 2019 PFL women’s lightweight champion Kayla Harrison (8-0), 2021 PFL 3 takes place at Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, N.J.

With the change to the lineup, the 2021 PFL 3 card now includes:

MAIN CARD (ESPN, 9 p.m. ET)

  • Fabricio Werdum vs. Renan Ferreira
  • Kayla Harrison vs. Mariana Morais
  • Brandon Sayles vs. Mohammed Usman
  • Larissa Pacheco vs. Julija Pajic

PRELIMINARY CARD (ESPN, ESPN+, 7 p.m. ET)

  • Bruno Cappelozza vs. Ante Delija
  • Cindy Dandois vs. Kaitlin Young
  • Genah Fabian vs. Laura Sanchez
  • Denis Goltsov vs. Justin Willis

PRELIMINARY CARD (ESPN+, 5:30 p.m. ET)

  • Taylor Guardado vs. Helena Kolesnyk
