Highlights! Glenn Smokes Silva In 37 Seconds In UFC Return

Veteran fighter Rick Glenn made a big return to the Octagon earlier tonight (Sat., June 19, 2021) at UFC Vegas 29 live on ESPN2/ESPN+ from inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, when “Gladiator” moved back up to 155 pounds to finish Brazilian striker Joaquim Silva via first-round TKO (punches).

Glenn hasn’t competed since a decision loss to Kevin Aguilar back on Nov. 2018, but you wouldn’t have known. The experienced fighter quickly moved in on Silva and caught him with a clean left-hand counter. Siva toppled to the ground and Glenn pounced on top for punches in bunches before the referee stepped in.

What a return to the cage for Glenn. Not only was this his first fight in nearly three years but this was his first bout at 155 pounds since 2016. If this is any indication of things to come from the savvy veteran then we may be looking at another contender in the ultra-stacked lightweight division.
