What Cupcakes? Tate Is Ripped!

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate recently posted several photos of her physical transformation on social media and “Cupcake” looks absolutely shredded ahead of her mixed martial arts (MMA) return.

“I’ve never been in this good of shape, I’ve never taken my job more seriously,” Tate wrote on Instagram. “I have tools and resources never available to me before. Everything is on the line. My body has done the most incredible things but the best is yet to come!”

Tate, 34, will return to UFC against well-traveled veteran Marion Reneau at the upcoming UFC Vegas 31: “Makhachev vs. Moises” event on ESPN+ on Sat., July 17, 2021, inside APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, her first appearance in more than four years.

“This is going to be a HOT second run,” Tate said. “I’m hitting the ground running.”

Tate (18-7) retired from competition in the wake of her uninspired decision loss to Raquel Pennington at UFC 205. A gig with ONE Championship would soon follow, as would motherhood, but it sounds like “Cupcake” is finally ready to get back to her MMA career.
