Joe Rogan can rest easy.

Former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley has embarked on a pro boxing career that begins with social media star Jake Paul in August. Partly because the MMA game was treating him poorly, but mostly because celebrity freak-show fights pay beaucoup bucks.

Aside from his powerful right hand, enough to score seven knockout wins, Woodley was more of a wrestler than pure striker. That’s why “The Chosen One” enlisted the services of Floyd Mayweather Jr., widely considered one of the finest pugilists of all time.

“Bank robbery in progress,” Woodley wrote on Twitter. “Y’all fucked up! It’s stuck now!”

In addition to collecting a career-high payday, Woodley is boxing Paul to get revenge for Ben Askren. “Funky,” a longtime friend and training partner of “The Chosen One,” was flattened by Paul last April.

And there’s probably nobody better to train him. Mayweather battled Jake’s brother, Logan Paul, in a pay-per-view (PPV) exhibition bout just last month, so “Money” certainly knows the terrain.

Might be time for bookies to reassess these numbers.
