Andrei Arlovski vs. Carlos Felipe added to UFC Fight Night on Oct. 16

Carlos Felipe will get his wish when he meets a heavyweight legend.

Felipe (11-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) faces Andrei Arlovski (31-20 MMA, 20-14 UFC) at UFC Fight Night on Oct. 16, which takes place at a location and venue still to be announced.

A person with knowledge of the matchup confirmed the booking to MMA Junkie after Felipe announced the bout during an interview with Canal Encarada.

After dropping his UFC debut to Serghei Spivac in July 2020, Felipe has rebounded with three straight wins over Yorgan de Castro, Justin Tafa and, most recently, Jake Collier at UFC 263 in June. After the win, Felipe called out Arlovski and he will get his desired matchup this fall.

Winner of three of his past four, Arlovski is enjoying his best run in years. The former UFC heavyweight champion is coming off a unanimous decision win over Chase Sherman at UFC on ESPN 22 in April. It was the 42-year-old’s 20th UFC win.

With the addition, the UFC Fight Night event for Oct. 16 includes:

• Ludovit Klein vs. Nate Landwehr
• Luana Carolina vs. Maryna Moroz
• Andrei Arlovski vs. Carlos Felipe
