UFC 264 is scheduled to go down in less than two hours tonight (Sat. July 10, 2021) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. At the last second, the show has shrunken half an hour shorter, as ESPN’s Marc Raimondi has revealed that a planned preliminary bout between Yu Haozong and Alen Amedovski has been scrapped due to COVID-19 protocols relating to Amedovski’s camp.

Fortunately, this is far from the most-high profile fight of the night. Yu Haozong (3-2) lost both of his previous UFC bouts and has not competed since 2018. Similarly, Amedovski (8-2) twice tasted defeat inside the Octagon, though he most recently competed in September 2019.

Somehow, the show will go on.

Perhaps a bit more concerning than the fight cancellation itself is the clip below. There’s UFC President Dana White, directly in the grill of Amedovski … the first bout of the night. Afterward, White interacted with every single match up on the card, including the main event duo Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier.

COVID-19 protocols? What COVID-19 protocols!
