Thursday’s Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley had a little bit of everything: a Transformers-like robot, personal trash talk and even a friendly wager — watch the video highlights here.

Showtime organized a kick-off press conference for Paul vs. Woodley ahead of the headlining bout at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio, on Sun., Aug. 22, 2021, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, streaming online via Showtime pay-per-view (PPV).

“I think your career is over,” Paul told Woodley at the press conference in Los Angeles. “I’m going to bounce your brain off your skull. Instant concussion. You will be on the mat. You’re just not the same Tyrone anymore.”

“I never was ‘Tyrone’,” Tyron Woodley retorted.

The bad blood did not end there.

“Jake, meet me in sparring tonight. Let’s get a warm-up in,” the former UFC Welterweight champion invited. “I guarantee you when you get out of that gym, you will never walk into a ring with me, ever.”

“I didn’t get into this for a quick payday to get in and get out,” Woodley said elsewhere during the presser, explaining that he plans on making further forays into professional boxing. “This is a stepping stone for me. This is my entry into boxing for sure.”
