T.J. Dillashaw was successful in his octagon return Saturday when he edged Cory Sandhagen in the UFC on ESPN 27 main event.
Dillashaw (17-4 MMA, 13-4 UFC) earned his first victory in nearly three years when he beat Sandhagen (14-3 MMA, 7-2 UFC) by split decision in his return fight following a well-documented doping suspension that cost him his UFC title.
The former champion came back strong, though, and overcame adversity at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. With the win, he appears to be right back in the picture to compete for the belt.
Dillashaw called for the winner of the next 135-pound title bout between Aljamain Sterling and Petr Yan for his next contest, but does it make the most sense for him among all the divisional options?
