Derrick Lewis is one of the most beloved athletes in Houston, and he was honored in his hometown once again this week.

Lewis takes on Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title in the main event of UFC 265 on Saturday and has received a second mural in Houston, courtesy of local artist Franky Cardona.

The mural is located at 2102 Leeland Street, just a few blocks away from Toyota Center where “The Black Beast” will compete. This marks the second mural of Lewis in Houston, as he also was recognized ahead of his UFC 247 fight vs. Ilir Latifi in February 2020.
