ONE ‘Empower’ Results

Michelle Nicolini was expected to join an elite class of combat sports athletes by adding an MMA world title to her IBJJF championship and ADCC gold medal. Instead, the Brazilian was shut down and boxed up by ONE Championship strawweight titleholder Xiong Jing Nan.

Their five-round war headlined the promotion’s “Empower” event on Sept. 3 from inside Singapore Indoor Stadium. Elsewhere on the all-female fight card, UFC veteran Seo Hee Ham advanced to the atomweight Grand Prix semifinals by decisioning Denice Zamboanga.

And no ONE event would be complete without the “Stamp dance.”
