Max Holloway vs. Yair Rodriguez is being rescheduled for an upcoming UFC Fight Night event.

Max Holloway vs. Yair Rodriguez is expected to follow through by the end of the year.

Holloway vs. Rodriguez is scheduled to headline a UFC Fight Night event on Nov. 13, according to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto. The match-up of top-ranked featherweights was originally scheduled for UFC Vegas 31 in July; however, “Blessed” was forced to pull out of the fight due to an injury.

Holloway (22-6) is the former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Featherweight champion. His impressive list of wins includes Calvin Kattar, Brian Ortega, Jose Aldo (twice), Anthony Pettis, Charles Oliveira and Cub Swanson.

Rodriguez (13-2) has not competed since defeating Jeremy Stephens via unanimous decision on Oct. 18, 2019. He boasts impressive wins over “Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung, B.J. Penn, Andre Fili and Dan Hooker, among others.

Holloway (No. 1) was recently anointed by UFC President Dana White as the most likely number one contender for the winner of Alexander Volkanovski vs. Brian Ortega, taking place inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sat., Sept. 25 via ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV). Rodriguez sits at number three in the division.
