Video: UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski celebrates win at Las Vegas Raiders game

Fresh off his war against Brian Ortega on Saturday, UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski was in attendance for the Raiders game.

Volkanovski retained his title in a classic battle against a resilient Brian Ortega in the main event of UFC 266 and was celebrating with his team at the Las Vegas Raiders vs. Miami Dolphins game on Sunday.

When the camera panned on the champion, he received a nice ovation from the crowd at Allegiant Stadium as he waved a foam finger around.

Seated right behind him was Dan Hooker, who defeated Nasrat Haqparast on the same night, in what was an incredible journey for him to make it to the fight. Shame he didn’t get some love because he absolutely deserves it!

All in all, it was a great night for City Kickboxing, who are seriously contemplating a team move to the U.S. after continuous struggles to fly in and out of New Zealand due to the country’s current quarantine system related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. With Hooker barely making it to his fight and UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya benched for the rest of the year, Adesanya vowed to never fight in his home country again.
