Gillian Robertson hopes to push her women’s flyweight finish record beyond reach

LAS VEGAS – Kicking off Saturday’s UFC 269 event was a women’s flyweight bout between Gillian Robertson (10-6 MMA, 7-4 UFC) and Priscila Cachoeira (10-4 MMA, 2-4 UFC).

After being challenged on the feet by her opponent, Robertson was able to get the fight to the mat and establish her dominance on the ground. After landing some hard ground-and-pound strikes, she found her way into a rear-naked choke.

Cachoeira’s fingers poked Robertson’s eyes a couple of times during the submission attempt, but she was ultimately forced to tap in the first round as the pressure on her neck was too much to handle.

Take a look inside Robertson’s record-setting performance, as she now leads the women’s flyweight division with the most finishes in UFC history.
