Anatoly Malykhin vs. Kirill Grishenko set for ONE Championship interim heavyweight title

An interim heavyweight title will be on the line for ONE Championship in the new year.

Arjan Bhullar (11-1) won the belt in April with a second-round TKO of Brandon Vera. But with some reports saying Bhullar has not agreed to a title defense, the promotion will put an interim belt up for grabs between Anatoly Malykhin (10-0) and Kirill Grishenko (5-0).

Malykhin and Grishenko will headline ONE’s “Only the Brave” card Jan. 28, the promotion announced Monday.

Malykhin made his ONE debut in 2021 and picked up a pair of first-round TKO finishes of Alexandre Machado andn Amir Aliakbari. Those wins gave the Russian six of his 10 career victories by knockout.

Grishenko, from Belarus, had a pair of 2021 wins for ONE, as well. A TKO win over Oumar Kane in his April promotional debut was followed by a unanimous decision over Dustin Joynson in October.

ONE has not announced a location for the event, though it’s likely to take place at Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore.
