Dalton Rosta has no doubt whom he wants after Bellator 273: ‘I want Mike Shipman’

PHOENIX – Dalton Rosta stayed unbeaten with his third straight unanimous decision Saturday at Bellator 273.

After his scorecard sweep of Duane Johnson (6-3 MMA, 1-1 BMMA) on the prelims at Footprint Center in Phoenix, Rosta (6-0 MMA, 6-0 BMMA) had no doubt what he wants to do next.

“Mike Shipman. I want Mike Shipman,” Rosta told MMA Junkie. “There’s the card in London in May. I would like a quick turnaround if he’s ready to go in March. If not, I know he’s over in London, so the one that’s in the U.K., I’d like to fight him on that card.”

After three straight stoppages to open his pro career, Rosta has decision wins over Ty Gwerder, Tony Johnson and Duane Johnson. Shipman isn’t booked for a fight, and hasn’t been in the cage since a September 2020 win over Pietro Penini got him back on track after consecutive losses to Costello van Steenis and Fabian Edwards in 2019.
