Sullivan Cauley could get used to fighting in front of a friendly Phoenix crowd on the regular

PHOENIX – After a dominant win kept him unbeaten Saturday at Bellator 273, Sullivan Cauley said fighting in front of friends and family at home helped spur him on.

Cauley (3-0 MMA, 3-0 BMMA) dominated Ben Parrish (5-2 MMA, 1-1 BMMA) to open the card at Footprint Center in Phoenix and put him away with a TKO with 25 seconds left in the opening round. Cauley landed a takedown early and never let Parrish get started on his way to a pounded-out win.

“I think there’s a little extra pressure in front of the home crowd,” said Cauley, who trains near Phoenix with Bellator 273 headliner Ryan Bader. “Luckily, this is the second time I’ve done it. It’s really awesome. I’m just getting this career started and just trying to build a following. Obviously this is where my following is biggest. It feels really good to feel that energy behind me. You feel like a real pro fighter with the fans.”
