- This past Saturday, there were three big combat sports events going on at the same time with UFC Fight Night 201, Bellator 274 and BKFC: KnuckleMania 2. Jamahal Hill picked up a big win in the UFC. Logan Storley made his mark at Bellator. And Chad Mendes and Mike Perry were among the big BKFC winners. So what was the most important result of all of them?
- The PFL started its new Challenger Series this past Friday. It was the first of six straight weeks of events meant to find six new prospects for the upcoming season. Based on the first card out of the gate, what was working and what needs to be adjusted?
- Bobby Green is stepping up on short notice for a high-profile assignment just two weeks after a win over Nasrat Haqparast. Green takes on top lightweight contender Islam Makhachev in Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 202 main event. Did Green make the right call trying to advance his standing, or was it a mistake?
- The middleweight title is on the line at Bellator 275 on Friday when champion Gegard Mousasi takes on unbeaten challenger Austin Vanderford. It’s a big fight at 185 pounds, for sure, but does the rest of the card in Dublin have anything worth watching for?
- The Super Bowl is in the rearview mirror, as is the NBA’s All-Star weekend. The UFC will bring back International Fight Week this summer after two years without it due to the pandemic. Can the UFC take anything from other major sports’ fan celebrations to incorporate into International Fight Week?
