2022 PFL 5 lineup set: Bruno Cappelozza headlines, Anthony Pettis vs. Stevie Ray in co-main

The lineup for 2022 PFL 5 is officially set.

In the fifth event of the 2022 season, heavyweights and lightweights will look to accumulate more points in the PFL standings ahead of the playoffs. The event takes place at OTE Arena in Atlanta on June 24 and will air live on ESPN and ESPN +. The promotion released the full lineup for the event on Thursday.

In the main event, 2021 heavyweight champion Bruno Cappelozza will face Matheus Scheffel. Cappelozza (15-5) enters his second headlining bout of the season following his first-round TKO victory over Stuart Austin at 2022 PFL 2 in Arlington. Cappelozza is currently tied with Denis Goltsov and Renan Ferreira with six points in the heavyweight division. Scheffel (15-8) also competed at the same event and will look to rebound from his loss to Ante Delija.

The co-main event will feature former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis against fellow UFC veteran Stevie Ray. Pettis (25-12) defeated Myles Price by first-round submission at 2022 PFL 3 to earn a quick six points in the standings while snapping a two-fight skid. Currently, Pettis leads the lightweight division, with last season’s champion Raush Manfio behind him with four points. Ray (23-10) will look to get back on track after dropping a unanimous decision to Alex Martinez in the first week of the season.
