UFC 275 free fight video: Jiri Prochazka faceplants Dominick Reyes with ridiculous spinning back elbow

Jiri Prochazka quickly ascended up the promotional ladder en route to his upcoming UFC 275 title fight against light heavyweight champion Glover Teixeira.

No win bolstered his position as an instant fan favorite and worthy championship competitor more than his flattening of former title challenger Dominick Reyes in May 2021.

The fight was frantic, thrilling and just flat-out odd – pretty much what fans expect to see each and every time Prochazka steps in the cage. Both men flung strikes and Prochazka aggressively pursued Reyes, who was on the counterpunch. At one point, Reyes even stunned Prochazka badly with a beautiful combination.

Eventually, the bloody-faced Reyes’ success came to a screeching halt when Prochazka threw and connected a violent spinning back elbow that shut the lights out. As Reyes fell to the canvas, his neck awkwardly bent, causing a whiplash effect. The finish earned Prochazka some Knockout of the Year considerations from numerous outlets, including MMA Junkie.

The victory moved Prochazka to 2-0 in the UFC and earned him the next title challenge, which is set to take place June 11 in Kallang, Singapore.
