Tom Aspinall has taken the UFC’s heavyweight division by storm the past couple years.
The Brit, riding an eight-fight winning streak, is off to a 5-0 start in the UFC with four post-fight bonus awards. He has finishes in all five of his victories in the promotion, including his first UFC main event in March – a submission win over former Bellator champion Alexander Volkov.
This summer, Aspinall (12-2 MMA, 5-0 UFC) will be back in another main event against arguably his toughest test yet: Curtis Blaydes (16-3 MMA, 11-3 UFC). And he’ll get to do it once again in front of a friendly London crowd at The O2.
A win over Blaydes is the level of line on the resume that could elevate Aspinall right into a title shot. But two months before that big headliner, Aspinall was put in position to not really think about MMA at all.
He sat down with the UFC to answer questions that didn’t really have anything to do with the sport at all. So what are his thoughts on karaoke, drinking tea, drinking beer, his favorite cookie and more?
