Vera, 29, currently is on a three-fight winning streak and ranked No. 5 in the official UFC bantamweight division after defeating Rob Font in April.
Vera is on the verge of a major breakthrough in his career and if he actually does break through to becoming a UFC champion, watch out: Rock star status will have been achieved in Ecuador (if it isn’t already).
