Bellator held its lone event of August on Friday with Bellator 284, which went down at Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Goiti Yamauchi (28-5 MMA, 14-4 BMMA) broke through as a welterweight contender in the main event when he scored a second-round knockout of former title challenger Neiman Gracie (11-4 MMA, 9-4 BMMA).
