Dricus du Plessis scored the biggest victory of his career, defeating former champion Robert Whittaker at UFC 290 on Saturday night in Las Vegas. Not only did he defeat Whittaker, du Plessis earned the next shot at UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya.

The champion was sitting cageside to watch du Plessis earn the shot and made his way to the Octagon following the fight to confront his next opponent.
